ABSTRACT

Archaeological excavations indicate that the Grand West Tomb in Anyang, Henan province likely belongs to Cao Cao, a warlord of the late Eastern Han epoch. Though it is difficult to identify the tomb-owner due to excessive robberies, a bronze seal inscribed with the character cao and a yellow silk robe with brocade collar and sleeves show us that the owner of these objects could be none other than Cao Cao himself. The chapter analyses that the town owner is likely to be the warlord himself and therefore infers the layout of the Ye palace.
