ABSTRACT

English language arts (ELA) classes may be the last place we would think students should be active, because they need to be seated and quiet, so they can work on reading, writing, or other ELA skills. Since the idea of movement in content classes may be unfamiliar, we may be afraid to try it, but remember it is how we actually learned as children. A major concept in human geography is how things spread or diffuse from one area to another originating at the hearth. There are four major types of diffusions: contagious, hierarchical, stimulus, and relocation. There are many types of population density and several ways of looking as density that can be very confusing for students.
