ABSTRACT

For some, a key to dealing with the death was to trust that God had good reasons for taking the person who died. Some talked about receiving solace and strength through their relationship with God, and that relationship often included prayer. Some talked about God teaching them at the time of the death and in its aftermath. Some felt that the death had brought them closer to God, and some felt that God had communicated with them prior to or after the death about the person who died. There were also those who talked about being angry with God and even perhaps challenging God concerning the death.
