ABSTRACT
In the final chapter, the pitfalls of theory selection are highlighted. It can be difficult to know which theory to use and in what circumstances. In order to address this, a five-step guide to theory selection is proposed. It is hoped that this will help researchers select theory with confidence and encourage researchers to consider theory not as an afterthought but as a key determinant of the research process.
