ABSTRACT

The increasing use of digital technology that enables constant connectedness has introduced new stresses and challenges. Thankfully, there are ways to make your digital life better. It is possible to approach the remote experience from a healthy state that addresses the basic human need for safety and comfort. Wellness, the presence of health in multiple aspects of your life, enables you to interact in a way that is positive for you and for others. Research has identified six facets of a healthy lifestyle that make up a state of wellness. To feel good, you have to achieve some element of each of these six facets in a combination that works for you: physical health, emotional health, cognitive health, occupational health, social health, and spiritual health. Wellness is affected by the challenges you inevitably face. Stress levels can be higher in the remote environment. To achieve overall wellness, it is necessary to learn how to intercept stress early and control it. Reducing stress will improve your health and wellness, making it easier to focus on connecting with others. In this chapter, there are suggested body-based strategies and mind-based strategies that are all grounded in scientific research.
