ABSTRACT
The current Georgia 3Rs Program is new, but the Religious Freedom Center (RFC) administered a previous version of Georgia 3Rs in the 1990s, and initiated 3Rs programs in California and Utah that are ongoing. This chapter will explain the history of the program and the ways that the current Georgia 3Rs program is more ambitious and broad-based than previous and extant 3Rs programs. To highlight the unique approach and initiative of the Georgia 3Rs Program, the chapter will introduce another recent religious literacy program, that of the Modesto City Schools (MCS) 9th Grade World Geography and World Religions (WGWR) program in Modesto, California.
