ABSTRACT

Our human ability to create something new leads us into the future, which we ourselves shape through acts of creativity. The idea of the lonely but ingenious inventor still haunts our minds in the form of myths of legendary innovations. Every technical, scientific, even creative breakthrough builds upon existing experiences and existing knowledge. For any kind of co-creative collaboration, it is as characteristic as it is fundamental that after the work has been done, the whole team receives the recognition it deserves. In co-creative processes, it is not only helpful but also crucial to separate the generation of ideas from their evaluation. The true creative phase, the “journey through unknown territory,” thrives on the fact that offers are made, accepted, expanded and further built upon. On the basis of established contact and reasonable trust, co-creativity can be trained very well online and with methods from improvisational theatre.
