ABSTRACT
Thomas Aquinas today argues that Aquinas offers the metaphysical principles for a solution to the questions of the current debate on divine action. In the first place, he presents an account of nature that is not totally and absolutely deterministic. In addition, given Aquinas’ account of God’s causality of every event in nature, God can be said personally to cause the particular and individual ways in which creatures act.
