ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book discusses the students and instructors while working with clients in consulting projects. Teams using our models have won many awards for their consulting reports. Students are the primary audience for this text. The textbook first explains the consulting process and then depicts it in a chronological flow. Students should read the entire text as they begin a consulting engagement. Once teams are formed and the consulting process is underway, they should revisit each section as needed. Instructors could also provide a copy of the text to each client involved in their program and request that the client read it prior to the consulting engagement, as a successful project requires clear communication of the consulting process among all parties. Experiential student team consulting, referred to in this text as STC, is one of the best learning tools for students.
