ABSTRACT

This chapter reviews the media landscape and outlines the media channels available for advertisers when planning advertising campaigns. Broadcast media is considered and an outline of television and radio channels is provided. The chapter also includes an overview of print media, including newspapers and magazines. Other channels such as cinema, out-of-home (OOH) and digital out-of-home (DOOH), as well as digital channels, are discussed. The key characteristics of each channel are reviewed and a number of examples showing how channels have been used within campaigns have been included.
