ABSTRACT

ROSELLA, during the fracas at the cottage, and that at Guairdy, unconscious of the extent to which her mistaken friend meant to carry her heroism, retraced the romantic road to Dunkeld, assisted by the more habitual knowledge of her attendant, who happened perchance, to possess that intuitive genius and taste for botanical studies, which has, within a few years, so suddenly overtaken ladies of fashion in the spring, the summer, nay, even the autumn of life.
