ABSTRACT

ROSELLA felt like a shipwrecked mariner reaching port, when she found herself once more at the lodgings of Mrs. Delaval. She ran up stairs very eagerly, and was surprised to hear from Nancy, that the old gentleman, who had made so much of her the day before, was with the invalid now, and had been with her more than two hours; and that he had sent for another queer, grave-looking gentleman, and they had been very busy; and Mistress had said nobody was to interrupt her till they rung the bell.
