ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on the intentionality required for this work. Constant, exhausting, but beautiful and fulfilling. Using her own life experiences, Ivonne Orozco Sahi discusses her experiences in middle and high school as an English Learner. The impact of teachers, coaches and counselors on her sense of belonging. She goes on to discuss her experiences in higher education: Navigating the university experience as a first-generation college student and the power of mentors and professors.
