ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents the Innovationedge Growth Opportunity Framework™ (IGOF) for developing a company’s growth roadmap. It recaps specific actions for roadmap development, including allocating resources across horizons, evaluating megatrends, assessing internal capabilities and potential partner competencies, noting the most attractive innovations in select industries, and creating a short list of innovation “areas of interest” based on potential partner synergies and feasibility. Eight practical templates are provided to help companies map a plan. Finally, a detailed case example (with fictional company BevCo) concretely illustrates how a leadership team leverages the IGOF templates to drive cross-functional alignment and decide where to invest time and resources that will drive bold innovation and breakthrough products.
