ABSTRACT

Case studies taken from field work and research completed during the preparation of this book are examined in such a way as to provide best practice models for writers working with editors and copy tasters or two co-writers interrogating the same tourism spaces in a town or region. Places in Slovenia, Montenegro and later, Cherbourg are all explored here. The value of journaling as a research practice is made clear through good examples. Finally, the use of dialogue and trust-building is seen in use by writers working cooperatively on a travel writing project. These examples can be taken as models for professional practice or modified to be used in teaching groups of learners in tourism management.
