ABSTRACT
This chapter juxtaposes the formality and objective gaze sought by the ethnographic methodology, which is briefly introduced in the first part of the chapter, with the experienced realities of the person behind the researcher and her different positioning in the field(s). After all, it reflects a work in progress in which the ethnographic journey’s narrative turns on a first-person experience.
