ABSTRACT
An extreme manifestation of institutional violence, war contains a range of traits that makes it perfectly fit for a critical criminological analysis. This chapter focuses on the necro-political traits and other aspects of contemporary wars, while also foregrounding the challenges posed by anti-war action and ideas: again, critical criminology meets troublemakers.
