ABSTRACT

This epilogue considers Argentina’s 2019 presidential election, in which Peronist candidate Alberto Fernández convincingly defeated incumbent Mauricio Macri, and serves to bring the story up to the present. We offer some initial thoughts about Fernández’s victory and its relationship to the themes of the book, while looking ahead to how our questions around human rights work, labors of justice, and commemorative literacies might—or might not—function in a post-COVID-19 Argentina.
