ABSTRACT

The concept of reflection, in its varying iterations, is now widely discussed in the sport coaching academic literature, this was not the case 20 years ago when the first edition of this book was written. Given the increased attention that reflection now receives by members of the sports coaching communities, it is time for this chapter to interrogate the concept by exploring various models and frameworks of reflection used in the sports coaching context as well as offering critiques and considerations of using reflection in sports coaching.
