ABSTRACT
Human self-conscious psychology makes the fear of separation and related anxieties incommensurate compared to other animals. Compared to other animals, the human self-conscious fear of separation is doubled up as self and others become equal objects of love and attachment. Self-aggrandizing is indeed a core trademark of human psychology. It makes human separation anxiety particularly pronounced, compound with the awareness that separation is inescapable.
