ABSTRACT
This concluding chapter summarizes the questions and findings of the most important topics the covered in the book. In doing so, it discusses some of the most puzzling aspects of Ethiopian politics, which are recurring themes across prior and current regimes and remain the case for the contemporary politics of Ethiopia. What is interesting is that, even after the promising political change that emerged in 2018, the political and economic challenges that the Ethiopian state faces are still eerily similar. But this chapter voices the view that hope remains, and, for the hope to be realized, it also makes suggestions as to what the political elite from prior eras, the political opposition today, and the current political administration should all do for the good of the country and its long-suffering citizenry.
