ABSTRACT

This chapter seeks to reimagine ending violence against women with an integrated, intersectional analysis rooted in human rights and gender equality. It draws together three key implications for primary prevention. The first is the urgency of adopting an integrated approach to all forms of violence against women in the United States, especially recommendations for enhancing prevalence data. International promising practices for engaging men and boys in prevention work to end harmful masculinities are then discussed. This chapter ends with directions toward equitable sexual ethics that prioritize women's bodily autonomy.
