ABSTRACT
This conclusion summarizes the findings of the prior chapters and places them in conversation with each other. It suggests the value of placing Shakespeare’s military spouses in the narrative history of fictional military spouses. It also emphasizes the importance of telling stories like those of these characters and the spouses whose memoirs I have cited, recognizing the place of military spouses in the history of modern warfare.
