ABSTRACT
This chapter presents the results of the 2018 survey and correlates them with the 2010 findings regarding how critical the population’s view of the ruling party. One startling result is that the most criticized party is the one for which most people vote, Fidesz; likewise, the study identifies an increasing narrowing of perspective when it comes to understanding other cultures, although this is not the case for younger respondents. Using Adorno’s F-Scale, it is clear that many people distrust science, with nearly half of all respondents stating they believe in astrology and there is a concomitant belief in the need for a strong leader, while frustration at corruption is also registered.
