This chapter describes many of the standard business operations that one may need to utilize during their live entertainment audio career. How to get paid and ensure timely payment is explained along with information about how to respond to non-payment. Pre-payment options enable workers to receive assurance that some money is provided prior to any work. This chapter includes information about how to negotiate with a client should contract disputes arise. Cancellations can occur at any time for any reason and the reader is presented with many options as to how to contend with these situations.
