ABSTRACT
Taxes are a major part of everyone’s life and this chapter explains the tax-related processes and procedures that must be followed by anyone working within the live entertainment audio industry. An exploration of the differences between taxation for the self-employed and for the company employee clearly defines the actions required for both. Readers learn how to prepare and file their taxes. A discussion of the various required forms along with examples help to eliminate confusion around tax filings. Corporate tax policies and places to obtain further tax assistance are also detailed in this chapter.
