ABSTRACT
Throughout this chapter the various genres of live entertainment are explored with in-depth descriptions of the audio expectations within each. The pace, equipment, roles, workflow, and expectations of each genre are explained in a simple-to-understand manner. Genres described in this chapter include theater, corporate/industrial, touring, house of worship, festivals, special events/parties, nightclubs, theme parks/cruise ships, and television. The reader will gain a greater appreciation for the breadth of genres as well as the skills and procedures required in each.
