ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the author shares an activity that will help the peoples gain clarity on what matters to they and the things that light were up, making sure that they live and enjoy every day. One of the founding principles of the Reggio Emilia approach is the concept of the “Image of the Child.” This “refers to what people believe, understand, and assume about the role of children in education and society.” Some ideas could be brave, creative, imaginative, competent, wonder, independent and resilient. While looking at the planning system in place the children learnt through themed topics with very little opportunity to investigate their own fascinations and curiosities, making the opportunity to become independent and lifelong learners limited.
