ABSTRACT
This final chapter will reflect on the journey that has occurred in Australia in relation to arts and cultural practices and government involvement. The impact on the arts of changing relationships with government will also be discussed. There will be a consideration of possible ways that the sector could become more stable, as well as possible futures. In addition there will be reference to ways forward for Australian governments, at all levels, in their future engagement with the arts.
