ABSTRACT
The earliest American contacts with Soviet Russia after the Bolshevik Revolution were Raymond Robins of the American Red Cross, and then the various emissaries of Woodrow Wilson to meet the Bolsheviks in Denmark, Moscow, and Prinkipo. All of these contacts laid the groundwork for commercial relations of the 1920s.
