ABSTRACT

The intent is to help the plan and experience a meaningful implementation and achieve new heights for the organization. The quality of the journey will be determined by how well the establish a supportive context for change and manage the people side of the implementation. The lessons shared in this book are based on years of experience managing the people side of many software deployment projects. EMR implementations are full of uncertainty and ambiguity, which affects people in different ways. Some users are fine sifting through uncertain times, and others find the lack of order and answers to be very uncomfortable. Some organizations form cross-functional workgroups to resolve important issues, instead of having leaders making all the decisions. Workgroups are a way to get others involved. Include some who are resistant to ensure all voices are heard. Members of the workgroup represent their teams and bring local input to the problem.
