ABSTRACT

THE Complaint which I am by your Lordships Authority or dained to answer, is of a Nature so extraordinary, and (is I can say so) so impersonal, that it may be the Business of any one other Man on Earth to answer it, as well as of me. I am brought in as Accessory to a Riot, in a Form the most unusual that ever was laid before the Lords of Session; no less than as accessory to a Riot committed by a Constable in the Exercise of his Office: That this was the Case is evident from the Instrument taken by the Complainers, which they have been at the Pains to print at the End of their Complaint, and in which they expresly say, That what I did, was done by Concurrence of a Constable.
