ABSTRACT

A letter signed “Old England,” addressed to the electors of Lancaster, on “Fair Prices and Fair Wages, or Old England’s Interests Considered,” has been sent to each elector. This silly production, under ordinary circumstances, would be unworthy of notice; but as it is understood that Messrs. Green and Marton, the present representatives of the Borough, have each subscribed £5 towards the expenses of the publication, it follows that the sentiments it contains coincide with their views, and embody their opinions. As such it may fairly be taken as the address of the said members to their constituents ou the important question of the corn laws, and therefore requires some comment.
