ABSTRACT

The First Batch: Being Minutes Taken at a Private Meeting of a Society for Selecting Approving and Returning Candidates to the First Meeting of the Chamber of Delegates, Now about to be Elected, for the Purpose of Extirpating the Ten Old Fashioned Prejudices. The last king of that race retired from this country, and a relation of his, not burthened with an over-scrupulous regard for the fifth prejudice which it is our business to get rid of, supplied his place. Nevertheless, though he was the champion of their opinions, they would not part with their money to support their new king, nor prosecute the foreign wars which they brought upon the country. But the new king was sagacious enough to do without them, by borrowing some money in his native country, and established himself on the throne, and reduced his new kingdom to obedience, and then died.
