ABSTRACT

A realistic approach is needed. It must be based on a balanced use of all the science nature has provided for humans to use. It needs engineers to pave the way with proper engineering disciplines to avoid life-threatening problems while creating affordable solutions for all citizens. There is already good evidence to support many of the necessary changes and to point out where further innovation is required. The biggest challenge for everyone is the transition from early evidence to large-scale production across the whole world. We need to learn from those that have done this. Mother Nature requires humans to use all the tools nature has provided. People can make the changes needed that are within their scope while industry, governments, and universities must play their roles. Avoiding a climate disaster needs every beneficial change to be rolled out across the whole world. Examples of the many actions are given.
