ABSTRACT
The final chapter of the book has a distinctive structure in that it uses a case study of a practitioner working with a young person and his mother to outline the skills needed for working in the community with people who have committed offences, and their families. It will discuss some of the theoretical and research background for using particular skills and styles of intervention in direct work with individuals in the community. It will consider both individual and family approaches.
