An entrepreneur selects a country to do business in on the basis of demographic, political, cultural and economic criteria. Country selection can be compared to a filtering process: the entrepreneur filters the most attractive sales market out of a large number of countries using a set of predetermined criteria. A European company with a claim on a customer in the country concerned may not be paid therefore, even if the customer is prepared to pay. An entrepreneur selects a country to do business in on the basis of demographic, political, cultural and economic criteria. The purpose of a country selection is to find out what geographical sales markets are attractive to an entrepreneur.
