Summary of the inspiration for the textbook. The book is based on the real-life leadership of Bill Mackintosh who led an organization through the subprime mortgage crisis of 2007. He is the inspiration for the mythical Chris who is the main character. It is through Chris eyes and experiences that the book reviews a wide range of topics that comprise the framework for a proposed model of leadership and communication tools that work to inspire employee buy-in.
