ABSTRACT
This chapter discussed how to use test scores in a neuropsychological assessment to detect cognitive impairments. In particular, the chapter will discuss two aspects: 1) normative data and 2) thresholds for impairments, or normality cut-offs. The chapter also discusses how test scores can be used for other aims, for instance to compare performance in different tests or to investigate changes over time, in order to measure improvements or declines.
