ABSTRACT
These are women who are placed in coercive situations whether related to marriage or in family situations involving economic independence or otherwise. Common to the four women is the fact that they exercise judgement and choose their course of action deliberately. They are mostly young women who are striving to reach beyond their lot in a bid to lead better lives either economically and/or emotionally.
