ABSTRACT
In the last chapter, you studied and applied the first seven of smart placement’s fourteen principles—and discovered ways to accelerate the flow of material, information, and people in and through the work area by improving the location of function. You reduced motion caused by the unintentional layout of function. In this chapter, you consider and apply the second set, principles 8 through 14 (Figure 6.1).
