ABSTRACT
This chapter details the first burgeoning phase of China’s #MeToo movement, which took place among the nation’s top public universities. Students and alumni activism in these higher-education institutions built incredible momentum for the movement, but also revealed the unique difficulties in localities that encountered state censorship.
