ABSTRACT
This chapter analyzes the rise and fall of religious leaders and reputable Christian ministries due to alleged sexual abuse. It engages with China’s diversifying religious landscape and also critically analyzes religious entrepreneurism as a form of post-socialist opportunism. Both official religions and unofficial groups abused their spiritual authority and failed to live up to their own moral standards.
