ABSTRACT
This chapter examines the final phase of the #MeToo movement among the Chinese diaspora community. It critically analyzes information pollution and Western media’s bias in covering #MeToo. Wielding power backed by international corporate and political capital, these resourceful men brought the issue of power abuse to another level, distorting and misguiding the entire #MeToo movement. They made manifest the core challenge of the #MeToo movement as it resisted the most rigid social structures backed by vested interest groups.
