ABSTRACT

The increased use of open space during the pandemic to engage in activities normally done indoors represents another profound effect of the recent plague. The chapter engages in a thought experiment of what a post-pandemic world might be like were we to learn to live more indigenously, more in harmony with the natural world, as well as what it would be like if climate change becomes so severe that the human population moved to the few places on the planet with enough fresh water and other resources to support humanity, while the planet recovers from us.
