ABSTRACT
This chapter uses the two-dimensional, or areal, tool of the Venn diagram to examine weird fiction as lying at the intersection of science fiction, fantasy and horror. The works of Miéville, Harrison and Vandermeer are placed in the diagram as means of capturing critical aspects of their work using this tool.
