ABSTRACT

In this first chapter, I take stock of an aspect of the psychoanalytical technique that is very important in the psychoanalysis of narcissistic-identity problems: the work of working-trough. After a presentation of Freud’s two main articles dealing with this question, and based on Winnicott’s proposals, I then open the question of the work of working-through when it concerns narcissistic flaws and the work of reconstruction of their origins.
