ABSTRACT

The chapter examines and discusses the role of selected factors in establishing and achieving family objectives. Initially, it focuses on the presentation of the diversity of family business objectives determining the specificity of individual entities. It presents the objectives considered as the key ones by family businesses: their number, type, and degree of implementation and the approach to family and business objectives when they are alternative to each other. The subsequent section focuses on examining the impact of succession plans on the hierarchy of family business objectives and the attitude to family and business objectives. On the other hand, the last section discusses the results concerning the impact of the management style on the effectiveness of implementation of the family business management process assessed based on the degree of implementation of the objectives established.
