ABSTRACT
In this chapter, the C element of the GABCDE framework is discussed. Key applied features of assessing C are included, alongside some definitional details concerning unhealthy negative emotions (UNEs) and healthy negative emotions (HNEs). An articulated GABC framework which incorporates Ellisian and Lazarusian concepts is also offered as an instructive portrayal of emotion aetiology in REBT.
