ABSTRACT
In this chapter the author discusses the A element of the GABCDE framework. This includes a theoretical background of what is considered an ‘A’ in REBT, and applied details concerning A assessment with clients. The importance of the ‘critical A’ is discussed, and some examples of A assessment are offered.
